Not Your Typical Double-Decker Bus!

Diesel-fueled buses are a big part of transportation in large cities and likewise are contributing pollution to the environment. Some cities have tried alternative bus fueling techniques, however, some methods have failed while some are relatively new. This article discuses the costs and benefits to using different fuel technologies in the Greater London area.  Several different bus types were used to test out the costs and benefits and out of all of them the Hybrid electric buses (HEB) had most improved air quality, however, there is uncertainty as to how reliable they are for long-term use, which could cause high costs for repair (Chong U. et al. 2014).
