Tidal energy is unique in the sense that it a renewable source and has the capability of providing predictable, firm power contributing to society. With the power of the ocean, human beings will be able to add a natural source of energy without releasing pollution into the environment. Tidal energy would give an additional value in the future of the electrical market. Capital costs would be reduced and would even encourage competition within electrical companies providing commercial acceptance. However, the cost for sustaining the technology to gather and convert tidal waves into energy would be substantial; especially when there is low tides are inevitable.
